Windscreen sun shades

Featured Replies

Now the sun is starting to show itself I was looking at getting at sunshade for the windscreen to help keep the car cool and protect the dashboard and seat materials. Has any bought one that fits well? On my last car, I was able to source one custom made for it as all the generic ones were either too big or too small. Any advice would be much appreciated. I see that seat do a custom one for the ateca but I'm not sure if the windscreen is the same size.

For context on the above price, Carshades do six sunblinds for the Kodiaq (the Karoq is not available yet) for £87 including  delivery.

The problem with the rigid sunblind is where do you store it between uses?

For a while I used the rear screen sunblind propped up on the dash whilst at work on my Octavia, which was okay. In the end I just used a 'frost guard' style windscreen cover propped  up with the sun visors and 'draped' across the dash.

I just rolled it up when I got back  and either put it in the boot or down the rear passenger footwell.

Word of warning, if you use the reflective type, watch where you point it. When it reflects the sunlight into your eyes. It hurts.

A lot.

Even in Scotland!
