Preloved MK3 register anywhere?

Featured Replies

Just wondering if theres anywhere sensible to record the story of your preloved Mk3 (in case any members/future members here may come across it from a dealer/auction) - if  this is a good idea?

My thinking is our lease Scout has gone back now (replaced by the Golf R) but also my company vRS will be due replacement at some point in the near future - so i can probably start with one car and then follow this up with the other later;

The Scout was registration WG15ULO, manual TDI 150, in Race Blue with c/w MIB1 no options/no spare wheel. When it went back to VWFS via BCA it had just over 18k miles after 3 years lease, driven by my wife primarily and she never let anyone eat/smoke in it, so was treated fairly kindly. There was no damage to write home about, including no wheel kerbing - it went back on the original tyres with 6+ mm tread as we took them off near the start of the lease and ran nokian weatherproofs. It had its 1st service with us and only had 1 warranty repair (sensor in the exhaust) during the lease, but was obviously coming up for its MOT in June 18 and was about 15 days out from its second service when collected.

Depending on price and spec required, it should be a good car for someone. The vRS is likely going to be a different story mind, being a daily drive doing 35k+ miles per year it will have a story to tell when its time with me is done (e.g. to start with it was ex demo with 3000 miles on the clock but good spec for MIB1).

Would be good to help someone pick up a good deal (or avoid a possible duff! lol).
