Hi there, 

 

Does anyone know how to take the front reading light assembly apart to change the bulbs? I'd like to retro fit led bulbs as I find the stock ones cheapen what is otherwise a nice interior.

On an Edition? I'll admit to not having looked closely, but they're bright white in mine, so I assumed they were already LEDs...

Not in mine. Apperantly u only get them if u have the led ambient light thingy. They've tried to make it look less cheap by using g those blue bulbs. But they're definitely not led.

Fair enough. Not sure how they make the interior look cheap though... it's still a bright white light as opposed to a warmer yellow that you get from a normal* bulb.

 

*whatever normal is for a bulb these days.

Pull the vent part of with a flexible tool then undo the star screws and the pop out pop in led bulb same bulb does headline and glove box and boot I did my 2016 Octavia and look a better colour and brighter

Well I'm probably over exaggerating but it just annoys me that they didn't bother to use LEDs when most modern cars  already do
