Light on Skoda Octavia 2016 upgrade

Featured Replies

Would like to change my light s to arrive departure on my 2016 Octavia Amb is it possible with new swich or not

Is it not dependant on whether the car has the light sensor fitted for auto lights?

Ok but can it be fitted

If you have Auto lights, it’s a coding job, if you don’t have Auto lights, still yes but you will need a light sensor that attaches to the windscreen behind the interior mirror and getting one of them  is quite a task and lots of £££.

While I have you smart link worth getting and is there a way of getting it (code) without going to a dealership

Don’t know about the doors, I guess that would depend on what door controllers you have. I love my SmartLink, I have spent quite a bit upgrading my car to get it. I take it you have a car with a MIB2 infotainment system? If so, it’s just coding work. Can be done outside the dealer network, but it’s a hack and you’ll need to send the radio away to the right person, would probably be the same cost to take it to a dealer. It’s a £122 part and is 15 mins to code.
