Has anyone here tried Revo with this engine? 

 

I´m currently considering to get a stage 1 from Revo, it seems that it is a lot to get out of this engine. If I get a good deal I will also get det DSG tune.

 

Thoughts? 

I know they tune 1.8 tsi/tfsi in other models but they don't list the scout in u.k. - have you checked in Norway?

I would say it depends on your driving style, if you regularly thrash the car then it will become unreliable, if you use it occasionally it will be reliable. I enjoyed the extra surge of torque when accelerating on to the motorway etc.

 

Revo  produce good software - the site sponsor is Shark Performance but I guess they don't have an agent in Norway?

I have not seen Shark in Norway however we do have Revo in my city (a long with maybe thousands of backyard tuners) and I know they make good software, which is very important to me. There is no difference between the 1.8TSI in the normal Octavia vs the Scout, guess thats why it doesn't show up in the official list. 

 

I drive my car pretty normal, no trash-driving and no speeding and very rarely am I on the rev-limiter but I really want some more torque down low. This is a pretty great engine but 280Nm is embarrassing to say the least - wish it came with 320Nm stock.
