PID Faults

Featured Replies

Within a week of buying a new citigo the PID would fail to connect to the mounting section. I realised that this happened when sunlight heated up the unit and by holding the mounting arm down or twiggling it recounted the unit for a few minutes before disconecting again. Tried dealer but after three seperate times the car was in for diagnostics got the usual - no faults found. Skoda services were of little help as they just requested the car go back in. Again - no faults found. Cooler weather and few if any problems. The weather is warming up again and problem returned. Anyone got a solution? The PID itself works fine, when it works.

Ours clips on very securely.

Sounds like one of broken mount, broken back of PID or your not putting it on right.

I'll assume you're putting it on correctly.

The back of the PID is easily inspected.

That leaves the mount. Is the spring mechanism working ok? Does the PID go on with a definite "click"?

Sorry, to be clear is it the connection of the PID to the mounting arm that's a problem or where the mounting arm attaches to the dash?
