CAI Installation Advice

Featured Replies

Yesterday i installed my Cold Air Intake. Makes nice noise and DV not too loud. How ever during the instalation i had to take the floor pannel out infront of the passenger front wheel. Its a curved bit of plastic that connects to the bumper and screws to the cover that goes around the wheel arch. Ok, my question:

Should i replace this pannel or leave it off?

The filter isn't exposed and is about 20cm up from the lowest point of the bumper.

replace it mate or all the **** will go up to the filter i replaced mine

I'd replace it because:

a) stops water getting up there (in case you think not possible, how much water gets launched in every direction if you drive through a puddle at 50 mph?)

B) holds your wheel arch liner rigid.

If you want extra cold air, pull out the nearside grille and drill out the plastic between the diamond shaped plastic look-alike mesh.

On another note

Nice tints been thinking of that tint grade for a while and now made up mind to get it
