DQ numbers

Featured Replies

Can someone with more knowledge than I have, please .........

Explain all the DQ numbers applied to DSG boxes.

Specifically.......

2017 Kodiaq 1.4 ,148BHP 2WD 6 speed box.

I was told that this was a NEW 6 speeder NOT the old troublesome 02E/DQ250 Transmission.

Thanks.

Trouble gear = 7 gear dsg called DQ200.

DQ250 should be fine/solid... Though it is missing 1 gear! (only 6 gears)

Are You sure it is 6 gear? Because then You don't have to worry.

If it got 7 gears i would be worried....

It might have a newer version of the DQ250 but all Kodiaq 1.4 Tsi got the DQ250 6 speed wet.

I think someone may have got their wires crossed - the DQ200 7 speed is the one I herad iffy reports about. That hasn't been fitted to 1.4 TSI Kodiaqs (not in Ireland anyways).

Sadly now the DQ200's have had issues, 2009-2013, then again different issues 2013-2015,

and again now some still on ones manufactured from 2015 on.

Sometime Skoda / VW might be more honest about the failure rate, and put 10 year Warranties on them and stop leaving people out of pocket when the Manufacturers Warranty Expires.

Obviously in Countries not in the EU / Europe VW do not get away with taking the p!th.

Many thanks chaps.

I did look at axleaddict. But just wondered if the 250 had been updated.

Yes I am sure it has *6 because it only shows 6 on the MFD.

Thanks for all your help chaps.
