Missing items

Featured Replies

Hi folks. Can anyone advise if missing items or not.

Picked up my 1.5 Edition two months ago. Loving it. Upgraded from a Yeti Edition. I must say I missed the 4 wheel drive in the snow but only lasted a few days.

I have eventually started to get round to fully exploring the car and wonder if I'm missing stuff.

No service book with owners manual and no manual for the infotainment system. I called the dealership and was told service booklets are now all on computer and no longer use paper records. This seems very strange as how would a new owner know its service history unless they contact the dealer. I was also promised an infotainment manual but this has not arrived!!!

Any advice. Thanks Scott.

The service history books are indeed no longer supplied (been like this for several years now) and it is all online.

Download the myskoda app. You put in your vin number and it gives you access to all the usual manuals and the service history appears too.

You should get a printout of all work carried out when you come to collect your vehicle. Sometimes it gives more informative than the service booklet; my service booklet doesn't indicate when the haldex was serviced for example.

If you don't automatically get a copy, just ask.

A lot of manufacturers are going down the online service docs, ideal opportunity for a service department to 'upsell' the benefits of a manufacturer service to any new owner who phones a Dealership asking about the service history of their new purchase.

Simply Clever.

It's not infallible though, I recently had to contact Skoda UK and according to their records my vehicle was last serviced March 2017, when it had been serviced March 2018.

Surely it doesn't take over a month for Skoda to update their records.

Simply Clever (Not)!

I have an E version, send me a PM with your email address and I'll be happy to send it to you.

I am unable to post it here as it's over 55MB.  :o
