Indicators

Featured Replies

Hi there

I have a 2014 Yeti 2.0 TDi 4x4.

When the indicators are used, the foglight lamp lights up on the dashboard as well.

Interestingly, when the seatbelt is plugged in the light goes out.

Any ideas as to what this could be?

Thanks

Mine does not get that warning but the foglight does come on the side the indicator is flashing and when moving slowly when the steering is turned also both come on when reverse is selected.

MAGIC........................................until you mentioned the seat belt I would have thought it was a bad earth with the indicators

Several types of vehicles (especially Fiat) are well known to develop faults within the instrument cluster which show up as dim warning lights or multiple unrelated warning lights which come on together.  It is due to poor quality control by the cluster suppliers. The options are to replace the cluster (£££, under warranty only), or to get it repaired by a specialist like Cartronix in Portsmouth (£150).

By all means take a look first at the wiring of the relevant circuits for any obvious faults like loose connections, corrosion or chafing, but I fear that it won't be that simple.
