[ON HOLD] 2004 black magic 1U Octavia vRS shell, with V5, two keys, panels, lights etc.

[The shell as detailed below is on temporary hold at the moment.]

No idea if there will be a market for this sort of thing, but here goes. I'm pretty much done with my 2004 Octavia vRS now, after over 4 years of great ownership. I took her off the road as the clutch let go and the turbo was starting to show signs of failing. She's looking pretty poorly, stripped of all running gear and sat on four piles of bricks. The shell is/was in good condition, but is now rather dusty and there are a few big splodges of bird poo from being stored in a covered barn for a couple of months.

All panels are there, boot, glass (crack in the windscreen), doors (all windows work), locks (all locks work), mirrors, fuel tank (but no fuel pump), lights, indicators, slam panel, rad/air con condenser and bumpers, even the two little grilles in the front bumper. The interior is mostly there, but no seats or front speaker covers. There is no running gear at all (I still need to remove the front subframe to get at the ARB), engine, box, exhaust or fuel pump. All wiring is still there, including the engine loom and also an R-tech stage 2-mapped ECU.

V5 is present, have a couple of sets of number plates, MOT ran out a few weeks ago (!, but I took it off the road at the end of February), two keys are present and the plips still worked before I removed the battery today. Last winter, I had a new heater matrix fitted, as the old one started leaking. Shell has covered 154,233 and I bloody loved that car. :crying:

Location near Ipswich, Suffolk and access is fairly decent, if you've got some dollies and/or a plan to move the thing onto your chosen mode of transportation. I'll be there to point/laugh/take pictures/help/cry. Will also be sticking it on eBay tonight. I don't want to be stripping anything else off it now and just want the shell gone. Maybe a track project for someone or a reshell.

Asking price is £200. [ON HOLD]
