Hi guys!

 

Had my Fabia estate for a while now and absolutely loving it.

 

Have some wind deflectors on the way and a stubby aerial to tidy her up a bit.

 

Theres only another couple of things I'd like to address.

 

The main one being, that the aux port by the handbrake is broken and needs replacing. The jack itself has fallen inside the port.

 

I've seen oem ports online for about £20, but just wondered how difficult they are to fit. I've had a little go at getting it out from the top, but to no avail. It seems that the entire centre section will have to come out, but cant find any kind of screws or fixings. I've seen someone replacing the aux port in a Yeti, but the tutorial unfortunately doesn't translate to the Fabia. 

 

Anyone had any experience with this one before?

 

I would rather replace the head unit, but don't want to lose the visual from the parking sensors, as they flatline when they're wet.

 

Any advice would be much appreciated!

I think I am correct in saying you can pop or prise out the little rectangular box, that sits behind this port. Access might be granted from there but you can also remove the plastic cover that sits just under the handbrake mechanism. This too, may be helpful. I know this does just pull off, the box I only think does!
