Tyres

Does anyone know if 235/45 tyres on an ET46 rim (normally paired with 225/40 tyres) would foul the wheel arch on full lock?

I can see that would not cause any problems.  I am currently using 235/45r18 tyres on 'official' ET44 rims but I have acquired a cheap set of used ET46 rims on which I wish to put my 235/45 snow tyres.  This would set the wheel centre line 2mm further in.  I guess I need to crawl underneath and try too see how much clearance there is.

If you are worried about 2 mm I guess you don't plan to use chains. I mention that because I was surprised to learn that, on my MkII, chains are not allowed by Skoda on the standard wheels (225/40/R18).
