It’s not illegal to have an intense discussion with a passenger whilst driving ....looking at each other...arm waving, you see it all the time.  Plenty of ways to be distracted but has anyone been pulled over for having an animated discussion?.

Driving without due care and attention? That's illegal.

Or crush their car, with them still in it!

Why deprive someone else of a car? Crush the driver if you like, sure, but pass the asset on to a better home!!

How many get prosecuted is really the point.

WTF is it with the 23 mile Average Speed camera area we know well, and the new one heading north, then the west coast ones with car drivers 10 miles below the NSL in the average speed stretches in the outside lane on perfect clear dry days, no vehicles in the inside lane.

I did 900 miles in the past 36 hours on the routes, it is really pure crazy from Stirling to Perth.

I see it every time I head north and return. Glencoe is one prime example. Long strings of 40 anywhere and I assume that they are worried in case they get lost, so are sitting close to car in front, making it a massive overtake, and then as you are about to pull back in, some tw**t decided that that space in front of them needs to be filled and speeds up to keep you out. To me it makes a mockery of the road, as in the days of old in old RWD cars on cross ply tyres with drumbrakes all round, we could breeze through there at 80+ in good weather. I've gone through that road in vans in high winds, with less trouble than with a road full of scenic gourmets.

Then up on Loch Ness side, there's notices asking folks to let following traffic past. Perhaps we need police to pull them over for an eyesight test .
