Tyre Wear

Recommended Posts

Hello, after getting a new set of tire and noticed the a savage amount of wear in the inside (thread even showing!) Fronts were changed I only got 6 months or about 11000 miles out of Michelin pilot sport 3s which may be normal I don't know but is there a camber in the pd170 or is there a desperate need for an alignment ? Also what is the average MPG anyone receives with the pd170 a remapped one?

Thanks

I had an OS tire with a lot of wear on the inside a few month ago.  Had it changed.  Today I went for wheel alignment after starting to notice slight steering vibration 70-80 mph.

I was told it was out.  Now all fixed so I'm linking the previous inside tire wear and later steering vibration together.  It was alignment.

Yea I'm gonna get mine checked I had that vibration to and only noticed then that the tyres were well gone in the inside lol very deceiving considering the rest of the tyre was around 50% bit shocked too considering the tyres costed over 150 a piece!

The Octavia is bad for wearing out rear tyres, especially on that inside edge, and they really require a proper full 4 wheel alignment carried out at least once a year....

Usually when the wear is getting bad though you can hear it inside the cabin as a droning noise almost like a wheel bearing is going
