Got round to fitting the dog guard properly today.  You will need:

 

allen keys

22mm drill bit (tool station, Abracs, £4)

nut riveter with M8 mandrel (available from eBay <£20, mines a Sealey one)

 

 

Mark and drill hole using supplied template 

 

I used short rivet nuts as the ones supplied were too long for my mandrel, only cost a couple of ££

 

insert rivet nut through 22mm hole you drilled and into the 10mm hole behind in the chassis.  Make good the hole (I checked the whole thing would fit first, need to undo it all)

 

squeeze, then release nut

 

fit beams using long bolt at the top, plus washer and locking nut.

 

fit gripping block plus locking washer with smaller bolt at the bottom.  A round headed Allen key makes life easier.

 

the hardest bit was actually fitting the dog guard, you need to tighten each corner a little bit at a time.

 

skoda charge an hour to fit this.
