ive had problems with the wiring loom through the tail gate ie broken wires iam now on two second wire repair all my component s work but have decided to disable both side locking parts and transform it to a permanent hatch oncn i have had the wires repaired  i will just use the center switch under the lip and iam thinking about disabling  the soft close component as well just not sure if i should use a vag boot strike plate for a solid part or just pull the plug off the soft close once in full closed position crazy i know but love my car otherwise just that boot arhhh

I've never seen a pre-FL fitted with the FL alloys. IT looks good and makes the car look a lot newer.

 

Great colour too.

 

Sorry I can't help on the boot lid, I can only assume you open your boot much more often than me :D

i have  got to the bottom of this problem i had a faulty boot lock and a broken wire in the boot ive still kept it in the hatch mode fully i disabled the two motors at each side now its just like a octavia but with the soft close
