Dave Wilson here. Just thought I'd introduce myself and my car :-) 

 

I'm a middle aged old fart who has recently bought a Skoda Superb Estate 140ps for Uber-ing. Liking it so far.

 

Passengers love the rear leg room of course.

 

I used to work for an "Executive" airport transfer company driving around in an E-Class Merc. It was very nice, but the Skoda has way more leg room and a bit more boot space. +1 Skoda. 

 

It seems like a pretty chilled community here, so I think I might stick around for a bit :-)

A warm welcome to the Forum Dave!  I too have been a fan of Mercedes but they seem to have taken their eye off the ball somewhat.  Also, when we went to look at their showroom last year, I thought the demo paintwork was poor, orange peel in places.  In addition, only gave me a very short test drive.

Thanks folks. Yeah. merc do seem so have lost the plot a bit. The company I worked for while driving them bought 15 2017 models. 7 of them have terminal engine head problems. Glad I'm away from them.
