Has anyone ever wrapped an octy/or bonnet?

Loving my vrs after 7 months or so of ownership but one issue I have is that I'm getting a few really bad chips on the bonnet - has anyone wrapped theirs?

Or is there any kind of solution to it (apart from not driving so fast)
