My dad has a 57 plate sharan (mk1.75).

 

Got an odd problem where by if you pull the wiper stalk to wash the front, the rear jet goes, but the front wipers still move.

Likewise if you push it, the rear spray works, but the front wiper moves.

 

Any thoughts on how to look at this one with vcds to confirm?

 

My thoughts are that maybe someone stuffed up the wiring at some point.

 

My guess, if you haven't sorted it yet, is that the water hoses are connected to the wrong outlets on the washer bottle pump. Try swapping them around!
