@Trust2k is the man here to answer this as he has successfully retrofitted. But yes it's for real, it will be an option on new Octavias.

I want one! I'm sure it will need some sort of main dealer coding once fitted so add a few hundred on top of that price

For 1k and spare change I would do it to. But it seems you need Columbus navigation + other parts. 

Don't know if it's worth the effort.

At this point I could sell my car with 6k miles on it and buy a new one with the difference
