Hi All!

Hi Everybody,

New owner of a Corrida Red 2017 Octavia VRS Tdi 4x4 estate here.

It’s my first Skoda, and and after years of BMW, Mercedes & Volvo ownership, I was really pleasantly surprised at the overall quality of the Skoda when I went to view it, and it pretty much sold itself there and then!

We needed something with a decent boot, and time after time, the Octavia kept popping up as a great all-rounder, hence trying it out...Incidentally, I chopped in our Volvo XC70 D5 AWD, which was a fantastic cruiser, but was just too expensive to run, and my better half didn’t like the waftiness and size of thing.

The Octavia is an ex-dealer employee car with only 6k miles on the clock, and is the newest car I’ve owned, so treating it with kid gloves, and dreading the first stone chip, parking ding or wheel kerbing!

It needs a proper detail, and I’m going to fit a set of front mud flaps to try to minimise stone chipping along the flanks, but apart from that, plan to keep it standard and just drive it! That being said, the dealer implied that the rear reversing camera can be retrofitted, so when funds allow, I might get that done.

Cheers,

Nick

Cheers buddy!

300 miles in the past couple of days, and already getting it!

Almost got the perfect driving position, and first fill up showed 5p/mile cheaper than the XC70, so that’ll make a difference quite quickly, loving the interior LED door strips and CarPlay!

Cheers,

Nick
