Scout jack question

Featured Replies

My recently bought Octy Scout came with foam only, no jack or wheel, Iv got a wheel now but Im wondering if the jack for the Scout is a bigger version to the normal Octavia because of the extra clearance?

I bought the insert kit from the dealer to go inside a sourced spare wheel. This included a jack and associated tools. As far as I am aware the jack is standard across the range, so I’m sure there will be no issues.

Thanks Iv messaged Skoda to quote me a price and given them my reg so I shouldn't have any issues, just wanted to make sure.

Wish I had done it this earlier, I googled VW / Skoda breakers and found a yard just a few miles away, picked up a brand new jack out the back of a damaged car for £10.

But did you get the rest of the polystyrene insert to stop it rattling around inside your spare wheel (along with the wheel brace and other bits that come with it)?

Yes got the poly

When i brought my Oct Scout 3 it only had the poly as well - thankfully I had piece of mind to take the spare, insert and jack out of my Scout 2 before I part ex'd it :D

I'm a nice person at heart so i left a can of tyre weld in the Oct 2 glovebox when it went :tongueout:
