Skoda favorit cooling problem

Featured Replies

Hello..

Some new trouble...

That 94 favorit with 135 engine idles very well. Just moving for 1000m makes it very hot. About 105c'

I havr cleaned the radiator and checked for leakage, changed coolant, changed head gasket, checked valve clearance with no hope. Some important observation is that cooling fan takes so long to stop. Even at idle. Any ideas?

  1. Thermostat stuck closed.
  2. Foreign object in coolant circuit.
  3. Head gasket job not properly done.

Extremelly low cooling flow is the culprit
But how even the sloppiest of head gaskets jobs can cause such dramatic overheating??

@adnantaman

Can you show us some clear photos of the engine of your car? What is the mileage of your car? I think I can prove what is going on.

Thanks for your help. I found the solution but do not understand how come.

It was that thing in picture

That is the electronic ignition module. It has nothing to do with engine overheating.

Once i had changed it, every thing went alright. May be some hesitation in electricity?

Not possible as far as i know even if the spark was weak out of time or whatever it would NOT cause the engine to overheat this much
Even the leanest of conditions wouldnt cause such dramatic overheating
Did alongside this module change had anything else done to the car?

The car was suddenly stopping. And this disappeared after changing it. And by the way i do not understand too what happened. But there is no more overheating.
