How can I convert avi files to mpeg so I can burn them to a cdr and play via dvd player?

try software called WinAVI

WinAVI video converter does the job quite nicely.

So what episodes have there been so far (don't have sky ) and where could I download them if I wanted them (shareeza maybe ?)

I loved the original and have seen a bit of the new one and it looked good.
