I assume that you are wanting to add cruise control to your car which currently does not have it. 1st you need to see which steering wheel module you actually have fitted to your car. this can be found on the details of an auto scan. Then have a look at this site which gives information on all of the different versions of the controllers and what they can support. If your module supports cruise then it will just need coding and a new control stalk installing (you also may need to install a clutch switch if not fitted).

Hope this helps

Your VCDS is out of date, you should update it....

A quick search for that steering module and cruise came back with this thread:

Thanks for everything. But i dont understand. My first topic, i was writing steering wheel part number: 5K0 953 569. This part number is true or false? İ dont understand

That is the part number of the steering wheel control module

It's software version 5K0 953 521 BJ probably running on hardware version 5K0 953 569 C just like the thread I posted.

For example your say my module is 5k0 953 569 C. I am searching http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Steering_Wheel_Control_Module_Versions this web site and this module cruise control function is on. İf i will change my signal controller to new cruise controller ( P/N: 1K0953513A), will my cruise control open? Or i dont know, what is my steering module number ? Use vcds. Thanks everything

A VCDS autoscan shows both software and hardware versions.

I don't think that stalk 1K0 953 513 A is compatible with your steering controller, it'll be for older cars. Instead, you probably need 5K0 953 502 N 9B9 as mentioned in the thread I posted...

You may also need to add a wire if I remember correctly.

I believe the correct part number for the cruise control kit is either 3T0 035 623 or 3T0 035 623 A. It will also come with instructions: http://vwgolfr32.co.uk/3T0035623A.pdf

I was searching true part number. i found it. My retrofit part number is 3T0 035 623 A or 5K0 953 502 M. Skoda is using 3T0 035 623 A number. Vw, audi, seat are using 5K0 953 502 M. Thank you everything.
