My Edition came with the Canton surround sound system but I don't like it as it's harsh, sibilant and rough in the upper-mid frequencies. I'm wondering if replacing the amp with a better one would cure the problem but is the amp removable? (it's under the passenger seat). Has anyone ever looked at upgrading the sound system on their Karoq? Where would I start? Would it have been easier to have not ordered the car with Canton in the first place? I don't want anything to change on the Columbus system as I really like this unit. Is anyone else with the Columbus head unit hearing upper-frequency distortion on strings and girls voices like I am?

Fab fab Fabia  posted a while ago“I have the Canton sound system but the speakers sound harsh and overbright with slight distortion on strings and vocals. I emailed Canton but they were useless and said it's a Skoda issue. My Skoda dealer says they've never heard of this problem. Has anyone with this Canton system looked into what might be causing the poor sound? Is it the speakers, the crossovers, the amp, or all of them? The only part of the system I like is the subwoofer and the head unit. The rest can be replaced with better components if it fixes the problem. But will it?
