  1. I am selling my 2018 Karoq Edition soon due to ill health. Will the buyer ask me for the radio code? It is not written in the manual or on any of the service documents. Thank you. Kevin
  2. Do I need any subscription to use the MySkoda app? Will it work with my 2018 Karoq Edition or would I need the car to be connected to the internet somehow? Thanks.
  3. Thanks RodDuggan, I have now figured it out and have now turned off the lights in the rear of the cabin.
  4. Thank you, I'll try this in the morning.
  5. I tried everything on the front roof console but nothing seemed to turn out the rear cabin lights. Do you know what the actual switch looks like?
  6. Since getting my car back from my local Skoda garage (tailgate problem) the two rear inside lights in the cabin are permanently lit. When I press the button on each of the lights it does nothing. The lights only go out when I turn off the ignition. Is this an easy fix using the ODB app Carista (which I have) or within the infotainment menus, or do I have to take the car back to the dealers? Thanks.
  7. The "close" button on my electric tailgate no longer closes the boot and I hear five "beeps" every time I press the button. I have to force-close the tailgate manually which is a quite tough as it is very stiff. My Karoq Edition is 6 years old. Any fix please? Video attached. Thanks. Kev TAILGATE.mp4
  8. I set it to COMFORT and this has increased the power assist so I'm happy. Anyone know what DYNAMIC or AUTOMATIC do?
  9. No problems , I just fancy trying a more power-assisted mode. So I've changed the setting from AUTO to COMFORT and it's already a more "assisted" steering experience, especially when going slowly, so I'll leave it like this for now. If anyone thinks there is even more assistance provided in another mode then I'll try that one too. Thanks for the tips! Kev
  10. Do you know which of these settings will give me the most power assistance when standing still or going very slowly (for parking, etc). Thanks!
  11. Is this option also for the Karoq? In which menu will I find it in Carista 7? Thanks.
  12. Can the Carista OBD2 app make the Karoq Edition (2018) power steering lighter? Especially when parking or manoeuvring. Thanks.
  13. This is how I get mine to work using an SD card on my 2018 Karoq Edition:- 1) Delete all data on a 32GB or 64GB SD card, format card to MS-DOS (FAT 32). Name the card UNTITLED. 2) Unzip the downloaded file (it can take a while) and double-click the unzipped Folder. 3) Select all the contents (two folders and a text file) and drag all three items onto the just-formatted empty SD card. 4) Launch the free Mac app “CleanMyDrive2” (or another similar app) to remove invisible Mac-specific invisible files from the SD card. 5) Insert the card into one of the SD slots of the Karoq's infotainment system inside the glovebox. 6) On the Navigation screen, on the bottom row, press "Settings" > “Version Info“ > "Update (SD/USB)“. The car engine does not need to be running, and if the ignition shuts off before the update finishes, just press the engine ‘start’ button once and repeat the above procedure from Step 6. The Update Progress Bar will resume where it left off so you don’t have to start updating from scratch. 7) Power everything down and remove the SD card.
  14. Thanks for the suggestions guys, time to do some reading-up and test-driving!
  15. I've owned my Karoq Edition since May 2018 (1.5 TSI 150 PS DSG, brand new from launch) and am wishing to change it for a smaller car which the wife would be comfortable to drive. When I bought my Karoq I paid for lots of extras such as the Canton sound system, heated steering wheel, Auto Light Assist, and an aftermarket tow bar fitting. I am keen to keep the following safety/comfort features for my Karoq's replacement which could be a petrol or a hybrid car, and either a small SUV or a regular car-shape, and a dealer tester car from a few years old would be fine rather than brand new. My Karoq only has about 14,000 miles on the clock after 6 years. REQUIREMENTS Automatic Transmission (DSG preferred or a similar two-clutch system) Traffic Sign Recognition Blind Spot Notification Auto-Braking if collision anticipated Lane Assist Front Assist radar scanning with auto braking Pedestrian Monitor Electronic Handbrake with automatic hill-hold Powerful Sound System (deep bass, sweet and clear treble) Electric Towbar (to carry a Thule Cycle Rack and two electric bikes) Front Electric Windows Rear Reversing Camera with Rear Audible Parking Sensors Satellite Navigation with Voice Control Dab+ Radio with Bluetooth, Steering Wheel Control, and Voice Control Electrically-Adjusted Driver’s Seat with 2 memories Electrically-Adjusted Folding Door Mirrors with 2 memories Auto-Dimming Rear View Mirror LED Headlights Heated Front Seats Digital Cockpit Keyless Entry with Remote Central Locking Alarm with Interior Monitoring USEFUL IF AVAILABLE Mobile Phone Charging Pad Electric Tailgate opening switch inside the cabin Ambient Interior Lighting 360-degree Birds-Eye-View Camera Driver-Tiredness Monitor A high sitting position A soft, comfortable ride. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate this very much. Thank you!
