GT4 revival. Standard car, nurburgring

Featured Replies

OK. Got to revive this.

Got to find the fastest time for a standard car arounsd the nurburgring, and it has to be a production car, and comes as you buy it on the game! No mods allowed AT ALL!

I've not had a crack yet so can't start it off, but I'm thinking maybe an Elise, or perhaps simply the RS6 / M5 have the out and out power? Or perhaps there's some Yankee dark horse I don't kno about.

So,

NO race cars or concept cars. Just regular factory built cars by the principle makes on there. :)

I'm off for a play. :D

Why aren't us mods allowed? We too good for you? :haha:

;)

Lol, I've only had GT4 a month, 4% complete.

And I don't have any cheats either *sigh*.

May give it a go. Will do it in the Nike car though, because its the only decent car I have/can afford!

Ah yeah - my plan assumes money is no object. I went and got the spankingly good Pagani Zonda - best of the 3 and put in two times

Lap 1: 7.45

Lap 2: 7.23.498

Thats the time to beat at the moment. And DAMN the Zonda's braking is rubbish without uprated brakes & track tyres.

Nike car - 8.13.063.

Shocking.

My first ever lap of the ring mind!

I think perhaps the Nike car should come under unfair concept cars, but we'll see what times it will do first eh? :P

I just put in a 7.33.566 with that Nike thing. Damn its not quick in a straight line but it sure outbrakes and corners the Zonda. How many gears? EIGHT!? I was flicking up and down gears all the damn time.

But for this challenge its BANNED! :D

how do we know if the times are correct?ppl may cheat?

Screenshots might have to be deemed mandatory then? Just trying to think what the best standard all-rounder would be from my garage - hmmmm

Steve

The saleen s7 has to be one of fastest.

7:35.675 in a SL55 AMG :D

edit 7:17.748 in a SLR

6:45 in a Skoda Fabia vRS!!!

SLR? forgot about that car. I'll be having another play tonight. If it gets 6 seconds over the Zonda. I love the SLR only for the way the nose shoots up in the air on full acceleration. :D

I am shi.te on nurburgring ring, I never know where the tracks gunna go next.

I'll give it ago tonight and let you know.

I've done the ring so many times now, I do know it inside out. :o Embarrassed to say, but it should bode well when I actually get around to doing the circuit for real. I'd better make sure I don't use the grass shortcuts you can use on the GT4 version. My suspension wouldn't like that.

How long will this competition last (Too busy recently :( )? But I have done the Driving Mission 34 tho.

Long term. :)

i will tackle this tonight

ironically i turned GT4 on last night for the first time in 2 months ! I did the m power race in a stock M3 CSL. 8:00 mins dead !

I will take up your challenge tonight.

Were you playing on Arcade mode ?

know the ring almost perfectly in the SLR ;) cause of the amount of times i had to do the merc driving mission with it :)

I wasn't on arcade mode, no. I was just on "world circuits" in the main bit after picking my car. :)

Is arcade mode the same? If it were, I assume you don't tweak the bits that make the cars go faster. ;)
