Air blower completely stopped.

Featured Replies

So I bought my fabia 2 last year and haven’t had any issues with it. The air blower didn’t work unless it was on 4 so assumed it was a resistor issue but hadn’t gotten around to fixing it. However a few weeks ago the fan started working intermittently on the 4th setting, until after a few days completely stopped all together.

Does anybody know if this is still just a resistor problem which would be fix with swapping it with a new one? Or because now it doesn’t work at all could it be a bigger more expensive issue?

Thanks

Have you checked the fuse?

Yeah the fuse is fine. Does that mean it’s all to do with the resistor itself then?

Should work on 4 without the resistor even fitted, so more likely the fan motor itself.

resistors are £5-10 on ebay and take about 20mins to fit.  there is a great guide on youtube for it which I posted on here.  I'd start there first as its the cheapest, does sound like your motor has packed in though, probably from running on 4 permenantly...
