I am always confused about this. This manual starts off mentioning the driver's door and then distinguishes between LHD and RHD. So do ALL Mk3 have key operated  door locks literally on the "drivers" side. I was  previously under the impression that entry had to be made from the lhs of the car, as seen from a seated position.

Well that is the FL manual. Not sure if anything has changed over the previous life of the Mk3. It will be fairly obvious on inspection which side has the removable cover I would have thought?

mine is on the drivers side only MY14

The driver side door has the removable cover, depends if you drive a left or right hand car, the reference to LHD & RHD is to determine which way the key is inserted.

Mark and Johnny,

Which side are your drivers doors on?

That's the point of my question.:wondering:

seeing as you asked so nicely ...Right

Thank you. I will check mine again.

Yes, there is a cut out underneath the moulding on my rhd driver's door. Must have been false memory syndrome from looking at the above picture in the owners manual.

Thanks again.:)
