Rubber sealing strip for Yeti roof bars?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where I might source some replacement rubber sealing strip for the roof bars on my Yeti?  I'd have thought that this stuff should be pretty standard and available via eBay and like but all I've managed to turn up so far is this which says it's for BMW roof bars.  It might fit the Yeti bars as well but (a) there's no easy way of knowing and (b) it seems pretty pricey (no surprise there, then - those three letters obviously command a premium!)

As I say, I'd have thought that rubber sealing strip for a slot designed to take a standard T bolt would have a standardised profile.  It's quite likely that I'm just not using the right search keywords.

Grateful for any pointers from anyone who has managed to unlock this conundrum!

It might be cheaper direct from Lichfield rather than through Amazon.

Thanks all for these suggestions.  It seems that I was trying to be too clever in my keyword searches: a simple search for "Thule rubber strip" brings up lots of likely-looking options, including lower cost, non-branded third party offerings.

Might fit as the Thule fittings fit the bars.

That's my thinking.  The slot dimensions for the square-headed T bolts are pretty much a de facto standard across the industry, so I reckon that anything that fits in one of Thule's slots should be fine for the Yeti bars too.

With wingbar strips being £18, I have bought bars cheaply from gumtree, taken the strips and resold. There was a chap who commissioned a length and was selling the left over to recoup through eBay.
