dual tyre pressures for1.5 DSG edition

Featured Replies

For Skoda karok edition 1.5 TSI DSG Skoda recommends two tier pressures for Normal driving mode 2.4 bar or 34.8091 for Eco mode 2.7 bar or 39.16, Of course with 39 ride is rough correct me if I am wrong my assumption is Eco mode, 39 pressure with ACC is for motorway driving, With reference to Eco mode and 39 pressure in anybody’s experience how much difference it makes to fuel consumption? Please give your opinions

ECO Tyre Pressures / Higher Tyre Pressures can only give better fuel economy by reducing friction with the road surface reducing the tread on the ground,

or by making the tyres taller.

That might well increase braking distances.

Easy enough for you to try the tyre pressures high one week and lower the next as you drive where you drive and as you drive which is different to others.

(maybe best not try the higher pressure in wetter / colder weather.)

I was riding with 35psi but still a hard ride.  Letting a couple of pounds out made a huge difference.  Not noticed a change in fuel economy at all

Lborob16 that sounds like a good advice :)

I adjusted my tyre pressures to 2.7 bar before making 2 journeys of 100 miles, I have not noticed any increase in harshness, in fact the Karoq's ride is a lot smoother than any Skoda I've had before.

Have now managed to crack the 50 m.p.g. mark for these journeys, just at 50.2.  I might have managed 48 from the Yeti.
