I’ve recently bought a mk2.5 Octavia vrs with the bolero headunit. 

 

The stereo keeps turning itself off and on and it’s quite annoying. 

Has anyone else had this problem and solved it? The dealer had the stereo out and couldn’t find a fault. 

 

Failing that anywhere that sells refurbished units for a good price or any decent aftermarket options for not much?

Be better off buying a second hand one off Ebay I reckon. Just make sure you get the security code for it or it could cost you another tenner or so to get it.

I hope my Bolero is just about to be available.  Skoda octavia 2 facelift (2010). Has had its firmware updated by Skoda so it reads SD cards fairly quickly.

 

But... is it the stereo itself or one of the connections?
