I think this relates to turbo petrol engines with higher compression........also requiring another specific oil formulation I guess.

At least the cabin will get more heat & quicker..& all for free as its a by product.....

 

One thing EV can't do properly..& that counts up here in winter.....

From what I recall Bosch were pre heating the DEF for injection hot into the cat to significantly reduce the cold running period when NOx is at its worst.

Either way boundaries will keep being pushed if only to buy time.
