Rear Washer Not Working

Featured Replies

The rear washer has always been awful on my VRS Combi, no more powerful than a hamster with a bladder infection. It recently stopped working altogether.

Has anyone had the same problem? I don't see fluid escaping anywhere near the boot area.

I had this issue, rear wiper not working at all, found all my screen wash in the tyre well .

Feed pipe had popped off, common issue due to weedy clip, had to remove trim (hatchback) and get access to pipe, put a jubilee clip on, been fine since.

The nozzle might be clogged - pop it off and then spray it - you'll get a fountain like stream in the air if it is that. Happened to me a few months ago and just replaced the nozzle for about a fiver.

Skoda have form on this... happened on my MK2 FL too.

*edit - just seen you have a combi which I don't think has the same nozzle as the hatch. If not - ignore!

The estate just dribbles water down the window and relies on the wiper to spread it around. Is the hatch different?

Nope same old man's p!ss stream on hatch :) except it sort of just dribbles up onto the wiper blade and is then spread around. Seems to work OK though ...

The washer fluid has always just dribbled down and works adequately with the wiper blade. No idea how the nozzle could be cleared of a blockage, but mine still works.
