Do I need a full service?

Featured Replies

I'm talking about my car ,not myself.

since I retired I'm only doing  about 5k miles a year.

I've synced my service with the mot which is coming up.

what should I ask them to do which is necessary, to keep the cost down.

car has done about 50k.  And is 61 plate superb auto estate

cheers

Do your Oil & Filter Changes every year,

and not to save money but the engine no Long Life Oil anymore, so go 5w 40 FS (VW502) instead of 5w 30 FS LL (VW504 / 507)

Be sure the Spark Plugs are changed ever 40,000 miles or sooner, check Air Filter and change as needed, as with the pollen filter.

The DSG Oil needs changed at 40,000 miles but not if a DQ200 7 Speed Twin Dry Clutch DSG.

Brake Fluid @3 Years and then every 2, or as you think.  Check the H20 Content maybe.

Check Brakes, Steering, Suspension, Tyres, Wipers etc etc and do Servicing & Maintenance.
