This has probably been asked many times before so here goes. 

My current wheel set up on my 2016 Octavia  Scout are  the standard Skoda alloy wheels 225 50 17 Width 7 off set 54.

I have found a set of genuine Steel VW Passat wheels with Pirelli Sottozero 3s on. 

215 60 16 width 6.5 offset 41. 

I have put the sizes in willtheyfit.com With the following results. 

Will they fit.

Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 19.4mm further away from the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 6.7mm more than before.

My concern is that the Outer Rim will be sitting 6.7mm futher out than the existing alloys.

Just wondered if this will cause a problem or has anyone had any experience with this.

6.7mm further out is negligible and won't cause issues.

 

Have you checked that 16" rims will clear your brakes? Not sure what size discs the Scout has, but you may have 312mm front discs and I'm unsure that 16's will fit over them.

Hi Pistonbroke, I have checked in the Skoda manual and the scout can take the following 16”  wheels. 

6j 16 50et 205/55/16

6j 16 48et 205/55/16

6j 16 48et 205/60/16

And I’ve just measured  the discs and they are 288mm. 

I put my reg in Eurocarparts and you are right some Scouts do have 312mm discs. 

Do you think the wheels should still be ok with the smaller discs.

Should be fine with 288mm discs.

 

The 184ps probably has 312mm fronts.

Just looking at winter wheels for my octavia scout. Was just wondering how you got on with the set you ordered Davedeeley?

They fit no problems at all.
