11 plate mk2 fabia vRS

Featured Replies

Hi guys, the time has finally come to sell the beloved vRS, not mine no but the ex’s. If you recognise the reg then you’ll know it belonged to Ant before us.

Anyway its back to as standard as it possibly could be apart from the centre box delete but we’ll save that for later.
We bought this car in Feb 2017 for the (now) ex as she was doing her placement year at university so needed something with a little poke for the motorways, well that year is over and now shes back to uni next month so the car is no longer needed.
Her being the 3rd owner which means its only had 2 previous owners and its currently sat on 56,806 and will hardly move now as its in the back garden, comes with nearly full service history which was done by myself last year, this consisted of new spark plugs which are Denso Iridium SKJ20CR-a8 gapped to 0.6mm, Bosch Oil Filter, Fuel Filter, Air filter and pollen filter not forgetting the oil which is Castrol Edge 5w-30 Fully synthetic.
MOT expires 08.07.2019
It did fail on a Suspension arm ball joint and a minor defect which was a CV boot, these were both changed as well as a few advisories like nail in offside tyre, indicators discoloured, and the child seat now allowing full inspection.
Alloys are in decent condition, they’ve been touched up over time and cant really be seen from a distance but close up you’ll clearly see they’re marked. Tyres are 3 x Kuhmo Ecsta 205/40 r17 which are around 6-7mm, it did have a 4th but they found a nail in the rear tyre so this was replaced with a Goodyear Eagle F1, I have a few spares in the shed so if you’re picky about matching tyres ill throw one in.

First things first this car doesn't use any oil what so ever (ask Ant he can back me up).

The car mechanically wise is absolutely spot on, the gear changes, the engine note and the way it just drives is just fantastic. The engine was known for using oil at around 30k miles and this was soon changed and ended up with it resulting in a new engine so the engine itself has only done 26k so no need for the water pump or anything needing to be changed anytime soon. The only

problem we had with it was it wasn't boosting past 3k rpm, we took into a VAG specialist and this turned out to be a broken wire on the map sensor after the throttle body so a simple fix costing £180.
It has a few gadgets which I simply wouldn’t have another car without, starting with cruise control, climate control, rear parking sensors, arm rest.
The indoor car handles have been changed for grey ones by the previous owner, they look pretty good (see pictures).
Rear defuser has been sprayed gloss black.

comes with original swing radio but the previous owner upgraded the speakers so it's running hertz instead of the original so it gives a better sound quality over standard.

Also has spare steel wheel which I don't think has been used in the boot with the tool kit.

Now for the bad.

Rear bumper
Well with her going back to uni she’s changing accommodation and decided to use the car to shift her stuff about which has resulted in her scratching the bumper, it don’t look that bad from a distance but pictures have been taken so you can see upclose. This has been touched up with candy white paint.

Front passenger headlight
She had a very slow fight with a wall, she put it into D instead of R and rolled into it which resulted in cracking the bumper and breaking the headlight, luckily it just broken the bracket. This has been glued and it passed its MOT but if your wanting a perfect looking car then you’ll want this replacing. This has a broken clip the nearest to the grill, the one in the centre has been glued. (see pictures)
For the record a new bumper was sourced, sprayed and replaced.

Apart from the 2 issues the car is absolutely bang on, test drives are more than welcome aslong as you provide the correct insurance documents, break it you buy it.
The car will be insured until the end of the month but may be extended .
Im away to the Nürburgring from the 4th of September for a week so test drives and stuff will not be possible until im back.

Anything ive missed im sure I will add on when I get chance.

The car will be gleaming for when/if you visit.

I feel the car is cheap enough and I've taken into consideration the price to change/fix the issues mentioned above so please don't offer me anything less as you will be kindly refused.

£5850, feel free to ask any questions.

It turns out it's not the exhaust blowing it's the rear drivers side wheel bearing on its way out, new one has been purchased at £45 and will be put on at some point this weekend.
