Skoda Fabia 2015 Fault Code P0137

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a 151 Skoda Fabia 1.0 With reoccuring fault code p0137. Bank 1 sensor 2 low voltage. I've been monitoring the sensor voltage on the Torque app on my phone whilst driving. The sensor fluctuates between 0.7v and 0.2v under normal driving but when I take my foot off the accelerator the voltage drops to 0v. But if I press the clutch pedal it rises to 0.2v again. Once i m on the accelerator again all is normal.
I have replaced the  O2 sensor, Checked the wiring and voltages with a multimeter. Ive checked the current and resistance of the heater coil. Checked the exhaust for leaks. Starting to run out of Ideas. Anyone else have experience of this?

Hi there,

Have you had any joy in solving this? I'm having the exact same issue with my 2009 mk2 fabia 1.2.

I was getting codes P0137 and P0140 meaning sensor short circuit and no sensor activity. My local garage put a new sensor in for me, a day or 2 later the same codes came back. They cleared them for me and they came back again and say they need to investigate the car further. I've got my own obd2 reader which again if I clear myself after 3-4 journeys the 2 codes come back.

I have no broken wires or exhaust leaks as far as I can see. It's a nightmare!

Cheers.

If the sensor has been checked and the wiring is good, then it could be the CAT itself is faulty.

Thanks for your reply. Someone I know mentioned a product to me called 'cataclean' which he said worked well in his mk4 golf.

Does anyone have success or horror stories with using it?

use it on occasion and I discovered it in a DVSA published magazine, where I read it was recommended by major automobile breakdown companies. Best before MOT etc and perhaps once every three months or so. There is usually a good deal to be had for two (Or more ) Bottles, on eBay or try one of the car spares websites, with a discount code and delivery for free.

So, yeah, I like the stuff. My MOT guy recommends Forte product but as he sells their stuff, he may get lower prices/better profits out of using it and charges £20  bottle, where I pay around £13 for the proper DIESEL version of Cataclean. (dual use, petrol & diesel version is a little cheaper).

Hi, sorry for the delayed response.

I finally got round to buying a bottle of cataclean but sadly it hasn't had any effect and I'm still plagued by the EML throwing codes P0136 and P0140.

Argh!

I finally got it sorted!

I had a broken wire on the connector that the post cat o2 sensor plugs in to. It was well hidden!  See picture attached after I unearthed it hidden amonst a few winds of electrical tape.

I managed to strip both ends, wind them together and tape it up. EML has now disappeared hurrah!
