Firstly Hello - i'm new! Second how do I.

Featured Replies

Hello,

I was just wandering if anyone had the best solution to my next two questions?

Firstly: What are the best back box systems for my 52 plate 4x4 turbo hatch?

Secondly: How do I unscrew my aerial? I can get it so far then it just keeps turning and doing nothing!

As you can see my technical car knowledge is very limited so be kind!

Thanks in advance,

Jan

White Octavia 4x4 Turbo :D

1. Blue Flame - they do one for the 4x4 that remains hidden from view so no-one knows

2. It's a security feature. You can lie it almost flat but if you want to remove it, just give it a sharp tug to break the barbs.

3. Welcom :wavey:

1) Milltek (will involve some cutting of the bumber though as the back box is designed for the VRS)

2) On the estate you cant remove the aerial. All you can do it adjust the angle down to horizontal, not sure if the hatch is the same though.

Welcome from a fellow 4X4 owner. :wavey:

Thanks for the welcome::orb_lava_

I am also thinking of getting the car re-mapped by celtic tuning ( i'm based down in the west country - lovely roads etc:thumbup: ) They have quoted 210 BHP - Too much? can the engine deal with an extra 60hp??:

Beaming White 4x4 Turbo Hatch :D

Easily, I think Eddie has about 250 and Stuart has about 330 so you shouldn't have too many problems. Lots of others are remapped to about 220 with no problems...

Hi Mate

The engine will take the remap easy.

I would reccomend the Diverter Valve at the same time as the standard ones will not last that long with a remap.

The Forge ones FMCLOO7P are excellent for what you want.

Then the panel filter would assist with the throttle response and allow the breathing.

The 4X4 is seeming to be a popular choice just now.

Is it me or does there seem to be a sudden influx of them just now.

But wise choice , hey I think they are great!

As has been said with the exhaust Blue Flame or Miltek , but you would be better replacing the whole system cat back

Sarah

i did read somewhere that the 1.8T lump could handle 600BHP before going bang... dont know how accurate that is though.

You've said back box but did you really mean cat back?

Not sure on the Milltek fitment as it's for a fwd car....you've got a 4x4 so I'm not sure if the Milltek clears the rear drive shaft.

If you want just the back box then there's probably no probelm other than the tail pipes..as Phil said.

Cat back not really going to give you much in terms of power..more for show and sound...and you may need to cut bumper depending on manufacturer.

If you go for a turbo back system then Blueflame are only company that do one for the 4x4.....it's a custom job.
