Error code P0544

Featured Replies

Hi,

I had a check engine light show up and when scanned the code was P0544 Exhasut Gas Temperature Sensor 1, bank 1-circuit malfunction.

It hasnt shown up again so wondering if it is worth changing?

From what I have looked up it is a temperature sensor next to the turbo exhaust input (by the sticker details the car doesn’t have a DPF).

I rang the skoda dealer parts to try and double check this but they were less than helpful.

I looked for the part in the engine and there is 3 there so just not sure which it is, there is a big black connect, a smaller one and then an orange connection. Form what I have read I think it is the smaller black one.
