Pressing the eco button on climate control, stops engine fan, A/C heats and gas safety breaks all gas out -

Roonstar scout 1600 automatic.

Hi all, when  pressing the eco button on climate control it causes all A/C gas safety valve to spill A/C gas out.

in garage using A/C pressure gauges it showed that engine fan works stops when pressing the eco, after a while gas pressure increases above 280 until the A/C safety valves breaks and all exhaust the gas out from the A/C.

Car electrician checked it and saw noting is done to wiring so i guess it might be a bad contractor, maybe missing fuse, wrong element or just bad plug.

Has anyone had that problem? or have a clue where to look for?

Can you get drawings of Skoda roomstar scout 1600 auto ?

Thanks,

Avi

This is design behaviour.

I agree that there appears to be an A/C fault, but the fact that the fan stops when you select "Eco" (air conditioning off) is not it.

Maybe the fault is that the compressor keeps on running despite the AC being turned off?

Is the compressor of a variable displacement type? These have been known to fail in the minimum position so i'm wondering if it could of failed wide open so the AC is still working hard and and with no cooling fans its causing a high system pressure

,,  well, it sound like 2 wires were swapped,, on one hand the AC keeps on working and the fan stops,,,

it also explains why i am hearing gas still running after AC is put to off during engin is still running and hot. I hear it probably because the fan is working or prhaps it should work but the AC is instead..

Could it be that wires were out of place somewhere in the car and a technician just stick them in without noticing they were swapped?

Question: Does anyone knows where in the car or in what plug /panel the fan and AC wires are routed close to each other?

@Avi_Kamitchi @SuperbTWM _ Ok, firstly, stopping the fan in Eco is because the AC radiator is presumed to not need cooling when the AC is off.

Getting high pressure in the refrigerant in this situation does suggest that the pump is still running. At this point I realise that I don't know enough to proceed further beyond suggesting taking the car to an automotive AC specialist.
