Is there any areas I need to pay special attention to when picking up my car on Wednesday, paint or looking for scratches in particular places? Thanks in adv

Take your time and really inspect the car closely. You are handing over a large wad of cash and you need to make sure it is as you expect. For me I spotted some poor paint finish on the passenger leading edge of the doors.

 

Another buyer spotted a dent on the bonnet, yet another slight rusting on the boot brackets. The chances are your car will be perfect, but a small percentage won't and once you drive it away it becomes harder to claim it was an issue before you picked it up.

 

So don't rush, wear glasses if you need them and I hope the hand over goes well.

 

My dealer did a great handover explaining the features etc, even setting up my mobile for me. The whole walk through took about 30 mins, very impressed with him.. ( just a pity about the paint)
