I've bought a roof / top of rear hatch spoiler second hand and am after suggestions on what adhesive to use please.

 

I'm quite nervous about sticking it to the glass and obviously don't want it to work loose..

 

Has anyone else fitted one and what did you use?

Was just interested in what spoiler it was, and what location you had in mind?

 

Sometimes even really good, strong adhesives can have a tough job battling aerodynamics, depending on where you want to fit - and the size and weight of the spoiler.

A good one is Soudal fix all crystal clear from srewfix goes with the colour of you car UV stable

Hi, it came off the same model as mine. Looks like an optional extra at the factory? I've seen a few with it fitted.

It fits at the top of the rear hatch mounted on the glass by the looks..

I'll take a pic later to show.

My concern is getting the right adhesive that is suitable for glass & the spoiler..

Thanks, I'll have a look at that...

So this is the spoiler I'm trying to fit..

That looks to be an aftermarket accessory, maybe from somebody like superskoda, so fitment maybe a case of best guess really unless you can get a copy of the original fitment instructions.

 

But if it was my car, I would be going the clear Sikaflex route, as that stuff sticks like the proverbial to a blanket if you use it right.

sikaflex 221 will hold it easily. ive use it on a spolier extension and its solid.

hopefully, this little begger didn't stick as well!
