Should I get my Octy Chipped?

Featured Replies

Been debating this for a while now, is it worth the extra money to get my Octy chipped? fancy the Jabbasport mod to 180ish BHP.

My concerns are: how much will it effect my insurance, currently pay

yes yes yes. remap essential :D and a brake upgrade. :) 25% extra on insurance . :thumbdwn: go for it.

If you can't do the time don't do the crime.

I'm thinking of getting the custom code or revo remap on mine.

Would like to drive one with the mod already so I know what I'll end up with first though

I agree. It will cost more on insurance, may cause problems on warranty and will cause extra wear on the car. The actual impact on all these areas is obviously unpredictable but there is a risk and if you aren't willing to take it don't do it. :)

Thanks guys food for thought, never really thought about having to do the brakes as well, but suppose it makes sense. So cost wise we are looking at a grand plus the extra insurance, which is up for renewal within the month so can test the water.
