I have a Fabia 12 plate, went in for a routine service with a local garage (not main dealer) after the service the car has developed a fault with the seat belt sensor, it comes on even though I am clipped in, however it is intermittent. I've taken it back to the garage however they have been less than helpful. I've been advised to discount the sensor under the seat to which I have done, however the seat belt warning and chime still comes on intermittently, I'm at a loss as everything in the forum suggests once its disconnected there should be no more issue.

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

Does it have a pressure sensor in the passenger seat? it may be that, that is faulty rather than with the the drivers seat buckle.

Check the underseat coonector in the car has not been disturbed by moving the seat. If the mechanic has had to adjust the seat, it may have disturbed the connection.

So are you just going to let the Garage be less than helpful and not rectify the fault?

 

What kind of establishment did you let service your car, the kind that takes good parts from a customers car and fits their faulty ones?

Check your car has the same battery that you dropped it off with, someone recently posted that theirs was swapped.
