1.0 engine available?

Featured Replies

Any idea when/if the 1.0 petrol engine will be available again? T'missus will be looking to replace her 1.2 Yeti at some point and the 1.5 would probably be overkill for her use. I assume its something to do with the whole GPF debacle?

Supposedly now, ask a Skoda Main dealership that supply the cars,

that is what Skoda UK tell you to do.

You'd think it would be that easy, wouldn't you. Except our local dealer says they don't even have a date for ordering. Its not something we need to do right this moment, but probably within 6 months, so even an indication of long/short term would be useful.

So if that sales executive told you that, that is what they know, ask another, then you have the answer.

That is what the dealer principle told me yesterday after having contacted Skoda on my behalf. I thought I would ask on here to see if anyone else had better information rather than phoning round random dealerships.

Do you actually know a date and are toying with me or are you just trying to be mysterious?

Point is, if Skoda UK the importer can not tell you, and a Dealer Principal can not tell you best contact Derren Brown because nobody else knows other than the Skoda CZ factory boss or the CEO.

There is mention of the 1.0 litre in se nav plus trim level listed in the  model year 19 specs and pricing datasheet and skoda online configurator which were only updated yesterday following wltp type approval. I would check with Skoda as to which build week they are planning to bring it into production. http://www.skoda.co.uk/SiteCollectionDocuments/downloads/brochures/karoq_pricing_specs.pdf

Yes, the 1 litre is available, in September 2019 brochure as manual only £ 21,680

Nothing to indicate it cant be ordered now   (unlike Sportline, Scout, Edition which have specs, but no current price)
