Octavia RS mk3 Rear brakes upgrade help

Featured Replies

hi guys
I want to upgrade my rear brakes from 272mm to 310mm...I have 370mm TTRS in fronts.
What calipers and carriers fit directly into my rear? There are many, Golf R32, Golf GTI, Audi S3, TT, Cupra...
Can I use any of them, Are they all direct swap to my RS? I can find several Golf MK5 R32 caliper + carriers for sale and Golf mk6 GTi, both 310mm, but not sure if they fit...
Anyone???

Yes the 310mm brakes fit fine. They are used on the latest 245 also. Any of the calipers and carriers should bolt on. You just need the dust shields from a similar car, i.e 2wd or 4wd. Make sure the calipers have a mechanical handbrake too. R32 ones are probably the most available with a mech handbrake, just need the backplate from a 2wd car (assuming yours is not 4wd)

Thanks.

Yes, R32 are very easy to find. Are the mk4 and mk5 the same?

Not sure, the fronts were different on the mk4 not sure about the rear. Mk5 rears certainly fit
