Rear N/S window won't wind

Fault today - The rear N/S window will only wind down about 60mm before the winding handle won't turn anymore. The window fortunately winds back up OK. The car's now out of warranty (of course!) so I'd be grateful  for any comments. Also, I can't  find any information about removing the rear door handle, door card etc. Thanks in advance.

bert, sorry to hear this. Is the car still under warranty? If so, you know what to do!

The probable cause is simply something is jamming the window rail inside the door from moving all the way down. This could be debris which has gotten by the window seal with the window down and fallen into the rail or winder mechanism. Or something has broken. I've seen it all over the years. What year is your SEL?

Was  that Mitchells? How long did they have it? TIA

Yes, it was Mitchells. I'm not sure how long it took because I dropped it off the night before and collected it late the next afternoon. I've found Mitchells very good in dealing with things while you wait but they usually ask for the car to be in by 8.30a.m!

BTW, I no longer have that Fabia because I changed it for a newer SEL.
